Canon user- Approach each shot as “practice”; try to “see” better with every photo outing. Working hard at becoming a better shooter and processor. Have had many mentors and try to help others on their photo journey.  Started serious photography in 1995 using Polaroid SX-70 film which I manipulated to give the pictures a “painterly” look. After Polaroid discontinued the SX-70 film in 2006, I began to take digital photography more seriously. I joined a few photo sharing sites, found 3 good mentors, joined the HRDPC, and gradually learned about taking and processing digital photos. In 2009, I discovered High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. I now specialize in HDR images favoring land/seascapes, wildlife and landmarks. I teach basic photography at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center in Hampton, VA.
