Thank you all for joining us yesterday for our annual roundtable session to fill the 2014 Club Calendar. Despite the bitter cold weather 40 of you did venture out to share your ideas and desires for the clubs direction.

Upon reviewing last nights comments, it is clear that many would like more “hand-on” workshop opportunities, as well as longer photo walk/field trips to more distant locations and perhaps some Saturday classes for more specialized subjects.  The board will go over the list we compiled last night and try to fill in as many club dates as possible from those suggestions.

A few notes:

• The club facebook photo sharing site has been changed to a private setting so only club members can see posts.
• Our website has been updated with our club contests/challenges.  We strongly encourage you to participate as practicing, keeping the camera in your hands and focusing on special tasks will not only help some items to become second nature to you, but its fun. There is something that will fit everyone’s schedule.
• We now have a member spotlight, each month you will get to know a club member a little better.  January features Jerry Held.
• Gen has us all signed up on twitter now, you can follow us here:  Twitter
• The newsletter is back…. use those links to connect to our online sites for info, learning and photo sharing.
• Check out our learning links page! Hundreds of quick links to tutorials, specialized training and fun events and photo ops.

Remember you get out of it what you put into it… we provide you with an introduction to a variety of subjects… when you find one that appeals to you dive in!  It can all be overwhelming, but if you start and focus on what you enjoy, you will amaze yourself with how much and how quickly you will learn.  As always, you have a great support system with the club members to learn and share with each other we thank you all for participating… we certainly have a unique and enthusiastic club… I always look forward to Tuesdays :)
